ACE Warehousing Extension Fact Sheet

ACE Warehousing

ACE Warehousing, built inside Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, provides mobile, real-time, data-validated access to your inventory via handheld devices. This can eliminate paper and improve control over warehouse tasks. The results yield the highest levels of inventory control accuracy, while increasing productivity and customer service capabilities.

Tracks the Work You Do

All transactions created or updated from the handheld device are recorded with the user ID, date, and time.

Physical Inventory Without Freezing Bins or Items

Outstanding pick, put-away, and movement transactions, as well as current scans, are taken into account when performing physical inventory functions. Users are not required to freeze bins or items during their physical inventory work.

A Combination of Lanham Extensions

The Lanham OWR (Outbound Warehouse Request) and E-Ship and E-Receive extensions are companions to ACE Warehousing for optimizing your warehouse processes.

OWR prioritizes the creation of picks based on promised ship dates, order status, available inventory, and can also generate wave picks for similar items or small orders.

E-Ship is used to pack the results of warehouse picks for each sales order by scanning specific items to create packages while capturing the package level detail. This enables E-Ship to post sales orders as the packing process takes place, generate package carrier, LTL, and custom labels. In the case of EDI orders, SCC labels are printed and the package level detail is used to generate Advanced Shipment Notices.

ACE Warehousing Works the Way You Do:

ACE Warehousing allows your on-the-floor warehouse personnel to make decisions about what to do next, while recording each activity as it happens on a handheld device. For example:

  • Goods in the receiving area are scanned and the system dynamically generates a directed put-away that is fully integrated with Business Central.
  • Warehouse managers can spot check bin contents, and make adjustments on the fly.
  • Movements between bins are as simple as scanning the bin and its contents, and then scanning the destination bin.
  • Lot and serial numbers can be tracked
  • Items can be handled individually or as part of a pallet with a license plate.
  • Physical inventories can be performed whenever needed.

Features Specific to ACE Warehousing

Warehouse Basic

Executes, updates, and registers Pick, Put-Away, Movement, and Physical Inventory transactions and bin contents that have been created in D365 Business Central.
