Products
All Lanham & Associates products are developed to extend the
supply chain functionality of Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision). These
products are developed completely within the Microsoft Navision
development environment based on the same standards used in
developing Navision. All our products except Usage Based
Procurement are fully compatible with Microsoft Navision 2.01
through the current version. Usage Based Procurement is
marketed by Lanham Associates only in version 3.x since it
replaces functionality previously contained in the 2.x versions of
Navision. We only sell our products through the Microsoft Navision
reseller channel. If you are a Microsoft Navision customer or
are considering purchasing Microsoft Navision we will be happy to
work with you and your Microsoft reseller to demonstrate and propose
our products. Your Microsoft reseller will be the first line
of support backed up by support from our company.
At Lanham &
Associates we take the integration of our products very seriously.
This means developing to a strict set of standards as well as making
sure that our products are available in the latest version of
Navision. It also means that we provide a
complete slate of services and
education through the Microsoft reseller
to support the successful integration and implementation of our
products.
Please check our
product pages for fact sheets and detailed explanations of
functionality. Below is a
listing and general description of each granule.
Please notice that a small number
of our granules are designated as available only in the US, however
most are available for sale worldwide.
Advanced
Forecasting and Procurement
- AFP Basic
(Required) (14000370)
provides a robust application to track and filter
inventory demand for the purpose of forecasting probable sales
levels for the future. UBP develops an automated Order Point and
Line Point with which to determine when to purchase additional
inventory. It also uses several methods of developing a suggested
order quantity including EOQ (Economic Order Quantity). The end
result, a Suggested Order, can be used to create a purchase order.
- AFP Collaborative Forecasting
(Required)
(14000510) is an addition to AFP Basic which
provides the ability to enter or import a collaborative forecast
from a customer. When a Customer Forecast is entered and
released the usage for those items that are in the forecast is
removed from the actual usage used by Usage Based Procurement.
After UBP creates the next period's forecast the Customer
forecasted amount is added in.
- AFP Advanced Forecasting
(14000520)
adds the use of multiple forecasting formulas which
are used to reforecast the past as a method of determining which
formula to use to forecast the future for an individual item.
This use of multiple forecasting formulas is often referred to as
focused forecasting. Advanced Forecasting significantly increases
the accuracy of UBP forecasts.
- AFP
Production Forecasting (14000530) adds the ability to
forecast finished goods and create simulated production orders
for the planning horizon, typically several months, to drive
component demand.
EDI - Supply Chain
E-Commerce
- Electronic
Data Interchange (14000360) is an EDI mapping tool
within Navision that provides the ability to map X12 or EDIFACT
EDI elements to Navision fields. It also contains work
flow processes that track all EDI generated transactions within
Navision.
- Extended
Document Handling for EDI (14000380) provides the
business functionality to track changes made to sales orders
created by EDI for the purpose of creating an outgoing Order
Status document such as an X12 870 transaction.
E-Ship
- Pack Line Scanning and Shipping Manifest
- Packing
(14000710)
a required E-Ship granule, captures and stores information
about the package as well as the products packed in each
package. It also includes a pack line scanning function
that allows the user to drive the entire shipping process with
wedge scanning device connected between the keyboard and PC.
Although Pack Line Scanning is an extremely efficient method
of verifying that the correct items and quantities are being
packed, this granule also offers two other methods of packing
and shipping. Fast pack presents the user with a list of
items to be shipped on the order and accepts entry to
determine which item is being shipped in the current package.
Standard Pack is a function that is used to create
standardized packages automatically based on a standard pack
unit of measure.
- Scales Interface
(14000720) is used to communicate with an electronic
scale via a communications port. When E-Ship requests
the weight of a package a command is sent to the electronic
scale which generates a response containing the weight of the
package currently on the scale. This granule is easy to
configure for almost any scale.
- UPS Manifest (US Only)
(14000730) rates the shipment, prints the UPS
shipping label and uploads an electronic manifest to UPS via
the Host Manifest Upload protocol developed by UPS to
integrate business system functionality with UPS shipping.
(This granule replaces the current shipping station.)
- FedEX / FedEx Ground
Manifest (US Only) (14000740) sends a transaction via the
internet to a FedEx server and retrieves rated shipping
information and prints the FedEx or FedEx Ground shipping
label. It also facilitates the day end close and
electronic manifest. (This granule replaces the current
shipping station.)
- LTL Shipping (14000800)
rates LTL shipments based on rates
contained in the system. The LTL shipping granule
includes an interface to SMC3
shipping rates that can be obtained by annual subscription.
- Rate Shopping (US-ZA-14000750) provides a means of quoting rates from the
Sales Order or Bill of Lading.
- Bill of Lading / ASN
(14000780) provides a Bill of Lading document that
enables the user to build a combined shipment by attaching
Sales Orders, Shipments, and Packages. The Bill of
Lading and its detail becomes the basis of the EDI Advanced
Shipment Notice and the printed VICS Bill of Lading.
- Freight Invoice
Reconciliation (14000770) compares shipping charges
calculated by the various manifest granules to the freight
vendor's invoice. After reconciliation, the results are
used to create a purchase invoice for the freight vendor.
- Label Formatter
(14000790) provides the ability to format and map custom
barcode labels.
- Input Conversion
(14000760) is an item cross-reference granule typically
used with E-Ship in versions of Navision that do not already
contain cross-reference functionality.
- E-Mail Formatting
(14000820) provides for the user defined formatting of
e-mails based on Navision documents such as Sales Orders,
Shipments, and Invoices. One of the most common uses of
this granule is to send an automatic e-main shipment
notifications including package detail and tracking numbers.
E-Receive - Receiving and
Barcode Enabling
- E-Receive (14000850)
barcode enables the receiving process. The user scans
incoming items to record receipt. The process also
provides for assigning and printing new barcodes as well as
capturing Lot and Serial Number information.
Credit Card Processing
- Credit Card Processing
(Base) (US Only)
(14000405) accepts credit card
transactions from the Sales Order process and submits them
for approval either through
IcVerify or
WebAuthorize depending on one of the following
granules.
- IcVerify Interface
(US Only)
(14000410) works with the
IcVerify server to process credit card transactions.
- WebAuthorize Interface
(US Only)
(14000415) works with the
WebAurhorize server to process credit card
transactions.
History and Security Management
- History and
Security Engine
- Required (14001010) together with the following
granules tracks any data changes made through Navision
forms by users. This is done by keeping a copy of
the new record and comparing it to the last copy of the
record. This is a very different approach to the
Navision Change Log. See the History Management
page for details.
- Security Management
Basic (14001210) together with History
Manager granules enables field level security on any
field in Navision. A field can be hidden or set
for view only based on a user group or single user ID.
In addition, filters can be set on table data to
control which records a user can view.

Security Analysis (14001260) provides analysis
reports outlining changes made.
